Ilocos Empanada

Ilocos Empanada is in town…

I spotted the Ilocos Empanada branch along E. Rodriguez (Near Hemady) the other night as I was on my way to a dinner appointment. I can’t help but make a sudden U-turn just to get a bite or two of the native empanada from the North.

It must be my cravings for that native Ilocos longganisa that made me excited to grab a bite.

Deeply fried in a hot pan, this empanada with egg and longganisa is simply yummy. Add that Ilocano vinegar which gives the taste a twist! Love it!
